Job Description

This job started when the client found me on a Google research, the manager email me and ask me if I was specialised on food photography and if I could get in contact with them.

I happily have answer the email and forward the manager my food portfolio with my best still shots and videos that we produced for Restaurants around Sydney.

They loved our work and asked just for a face to face meeting.  On this meeting I had a chance to show off a few videos and photos and past production, how we achieve those results and all our experience.

In the end of the meeting the manager let me know that I was competing with a few competitors and they will get back to me if they choose my work and decided to go ahead.

A few weeks after they contacted me and asked if we could start the process so I organise a pre production meeting where we discussed how the photos will look like, what props could be ideal for the photoshoot and other particularities.

This pre production meetings are very important for the desired result so on the shooting day we probably face very little challenges and the photoshoot runs smoothly.

On the shooting day we arrived at the restaurant around 10am, start to unload the equipment, props and start to set up all the scenario and workflow of the shoot during the day.

Soon after everything to be very organised we had a brainstorm meeting with the manager and the Cheef how they could prepare plates, we cage them some tips about food photography and some trends that make difference in a good shot.

We had a very busy full day shoot, we photograph the entire client menu on the product style, we photograph some of the main dishes on a concept style where we also created some movie shots for the video editing.

We did not have much work on the post production side of the photography stills as we were very careful with the light and all the minimum details during the shoot so this saved time and cost for the still photographs.

The video we decided to go for a very simple and minimalist style just with sound ambience and sound design to give people the atmosphere and experience on id they enjoying the restaurant.

On the overall the client was trilled with the entire experience and we were very proud to see the client´s satisfaction with the quality of they material, all the possibilities with the content.

This showcase is a grate example if a combined experience with a good preparation result.  If your brand or Business resinate with this type of work or if you ever need assistance with your production please send me an e-mail.

Also this is a blog post so if you would like to interact with me, engage on a discussion about photography or videography I´ll be more than happy to participate.

I hope you enjoyed the story and the work.

Hope to hear from you soon.
